Frank Logghe

My background

With 18.5 years of experience with the Brussels police (POLBRU)—including 10 years in a special intervention unit (BAA/AOB), 5 years as a detective, and 3 years as a field officer and deputy platoon commander—I have developed strong strategic and operational acumen. I am trained in crisis management, complex investigations, and high-pressure decision-making.

My career in a politically sensitive landscape has taught me the crucial importance of a solid ethical compass, transparency, and methodological research. Objectivity and integrity are central to me, guided by the principle of "A charge et décharge." In addition to my professional career, I have gained valuable experience in team cohesion, motivation, and leadership for many years as the manager of a women's hockey team. These are essential skills that I apply both on the field and in the world of security and research.

Transition to the European Institutions

After my police career, I brought my expertise to the European institutions, where, among other things, I coordinated an international Close Protection Team responsible for the protection of high-ranking officials in diplomatically sensitive situations. Today, I work as a researcher within the Internal Investigations team of a leading EU institution, leading complex internal investigations and conducting strategic risk analyses.

My mission at Watson

With Watson , I want to train internal researchers to become critical and independent professionals. Our training combines practical experience with methodological depth, focusing on objectivity, integrity, and decisiveness.

My mission is to teach researchers not only the techniques but also the right mindset to conduct ethical and well-founded research. In a time when facts are under pressure, transparency and analytical thinking are more important than ever. Watson prepares professionals for this challenge.
